The 15th was the first day of the opening of the 113th Canton Fair. With the recovery of foreign trade, exhibitors’ confidence improved significantly compared with the previous session.

At the previous fair, affected by the international market, the number of merchants dropped by 10% and the turnover decreased by 9.3%. In 2013, China’s foreign trade exports began to improve, which also greatly enhanced the confidence of current exhibitors. Zhao Wei, a senior manager of Huizhou TCL Lighting, told reporters that the export orders in the first quarter of this year had a significant increase from last year, which was a 15% increase from lighting products alone, especially in emerging markets such as the Middle East. At present, the European and American markets are still not very good.

Some industry associations also expect that orders will increase this year. According to the Electrical and Mechanical Chamber of Commerce, in the first two months of this year, China's exports of electromechanical products increased by 30.7% to Asia and maintained rapid growth. The growth rate in North America was 12.6% and the growth rate was stable. The growth in exports to Europe was 5%, and the growth rate rebounded. According to a survey conducted by a large number of companies, many electromechanical companies expect orders to increase by about 5% this year.
